“Smart, funny, quirky, powerhouse songwriting, distinctly New York."
- Jezebel Music.

With original guitar and piano ballads, ragtime, country blues, hip hop, show-tunes, acoustic comedy, rock ‘n roll and music for children, Dan Costello’s thirteen albums stretch the folk definition.

In live performance, Costello’s just as likely to perform a monologue or invent a new song as he is to play the favorites from his albums. It’s energetic and different every time. Dan can prepare a set of material for kids, for grown-ups, or for an all-ages crowd. He has has toured over twenty countries, including a three-month European tour which stretched from Ireland to Belarus.

Dan has a baritone voice with tenor notes and a huge falsetto. He plays piano, guitar, ukulele, clarinet, saxophone, irish whistles, bass, drums, a little mandolin and banjo, and pretty much anything else he can find.

"A little bit country, a little bit, um…other weird, cool stuff." - Boulder Weekly
